This post is dedicated primarily for tips to write articles for money or to learn more ways to make money with words. But that does not mean it will be completely limited to this the limitations of immediate financial compensation. Other rewards that come from writing are still more than reasonable enough to make it a worth while task.
For one writing is healthy, and by that I mean its one of those things where I can say its good for you and know for sure I am right about it. Its is a very therapeutic and helpful way of expressing yourself. If you pick up the bug and make a habit out of it writing can quickly become a skill that will keep your mind and brain stimulated and sharp.
But back to the making $money$ aspect of the work. I'm going to write something that might shock some people but I believe to be true.
Writing to make some cash is fairly easy. Writing to make a living is extremely difficult for most. I guess I would say that at the very least it is a challenge for everyone but there is bound to be some absolute natural out there somewhere who just happens to always be at the right place at the right time.
Probably making an insane amount of money and it all too easy for them. They are out there. They do exist and are making great pay doing what we all love.
Unfortunately for the rest of us it is an uphill battle of constant pressure, stress, deadlines,edits, rewrites, researching, long nights, longer hours, slow to pay, or not getting paid at all, marketing yourself, pitching, selling, pushing and struggling the whole way. And if you did not love the work itself, no one in their right mind would dare go through this bizarre hellish nightmare life of barely surviving.
There are some helpful Tips to Write Articles for Moneyand it does not have to be at all like what is mentioned above. Articles and writing that you can actually build upon and grow a business from is now what is available to us where before (pre-internet) it was not at all as possible.

Titles are what they would call the Money Shot when it comes to articles. However, it could also be said of the other projects. But particularly articles are title driven works as the title of the article decides whether or not someone will read it or not.
The titles do 87% of the work. Those who write a lot of articles for money or for marketing purposes spend 90% of their efforts on the creating the titles of their articles. People are drawn to the article by the title.
So Titles are of the utmost importance.
Proofread, proofread, proofread. And then edit your work. I cannot stress enough how vital having spelling and grammar errors can hurt your work or your image from those who might be interested in hiring you for work. So if you are looking to make long term, serious money from your writing efforts make certain that the work is not sloppy.
So, with regards to your article writing, always treat every project with great care. Quality matters and your work will be speaking for itself in the end.
Stay Determined and develop yourself some VERY THICK SKIN! This is not a business for the sensitive or some one who takes rejection too seriously. Because their will be rejection. Oh yes, there will be rejection.
Stay Focused. Avoid distractions and set up yourself a work space that is devoid of all attention grabbers that are not work related.
Find out what inspires you to work and work well. One of the absolute best tips to write articles for money that I have ever been told was...
When you are on a roll and writing well and everything is flowing, do not stop until it is over. Ride the wave out completely and it will serve you well. It will have to make up for those times that are tough and unproductive.
Then Strategy have a good strategy in place and one that works well for others. If it works for them it will work for you too. Do not worry about if the business model is saturated you will give it your own unique spin and signature element.

Just been reading from one of my absolute favorite mentors in the cult like world of the I.M.,(Internet Marketing)Business of article writing and article marketing. I have to say she, PotPieGirl, is one amazing woman.
As well as a great help to those who need it and are not rich enough to buy those outdated, overpriced, unhelpful "get a million on da internets" products that might have been good two years before they decided to try and sell it.
What she does is helps those who are ready to work, to Write! To make money online. Without hype without over marketing to you, she will give you current advice for free in many cases. But she also gives the skinny to those in need of good products that will help you to write more quality content faster and easier.
I was reading through PPG's Blog which is not another less than interesting mentally divergent synopsis of the sales process but an actual strategy. A certain and detailed design of a true to life step by step method of doing article marketing.
It is somewhat safe to say that even by letting out her strategy it in no way could damage or weaken its power. It will not be accomplished by nearly as many people as one would expect.
Now,
Notice I said accomplish, and not attempt, which would be another figure all together. Many will try and quit way too early. Many just quit because they lose focus, many due to the factors of life which they feel are out of their control. Others will quit once they realize it does take work or just how much work it does take.

You have to be so determined that nothing will stop you and it is hard work.
So, in the end there is not as many as you might think, but then again it would depend on how many you are thinking. Who knows? For all I know, you, the person reading this, (assuming anyone is) may have the exact number in mind. NO way to check on that though. At least none that I am aware of.

Article marketing is not the easiest thing in the world like many people try to make it out to seem. You will have to be persistent and extremely patient in the face of financial burdens. Yet if you can stay with it and persevere there might just be a career in it for you. If you want it that is.
Article Marketing and the knocks we can take are pretty hard hits much of the time. I think it can be one of the most frustrating jobs there are. It does have its rewards but almost any job does. It can help if you actually enjoy writing. It can help a lot. Also using the most coveted Article Marketing Tools that the big guns use will help you succeed.
Article Marketing, I am beginning to suspect, is much easier for those people who are *not writers*. It is extremely difficult regardless. I just do not think that having a way with words makes it any easier. I do know that people that are not at all that familiar with any of it, are actually under the impression it is a piece of cake.
Oh how wrong they are. So wrong that I actually used the word Oh, something I rarely do.
There are so many pitfalls and Aha! Moments directly followed by those unrelenting 'oh no' revelations that come along with it. It seems no matter how much I smile to myself that I have figured something out I am more confounded by angry frowns that I am going to have to rework or rewrite EVERYTHING. This always means I am compelled to learn something new in order to keep up with the fast-paced Internet world of "CHANGE".
Sometimes after writing an entire days worth of work (8hours), I can find that it was all wrong or that there is no way it will work. Then I will have either to rework it or dispense of it all together. I think that the most frustrating thing is when you know it is some good work and then find out it is next to worthless as far as making any income from it.
Much of this can be attributed to trial and error. The mere fact that some of it is just plain unavoidable is enough to make you want to give up. The trial and error is just something that comes with the territory. When Google or some other huge machine changes and makes the whole of your work suddenly invalid that is when the steam can start to rise from the face of an unsuspecting, hard working, article marketing writer who poured his sweet sweat into his bargaining chip called words.
But hey, this stuff is easy right? I mean, all were doing is writing. How hard can it be? If they only knew about Article Marketing and the Knocks We Take.
Article Marketing is a brutally time consuming process, so with that being said anything out there that can help save time is an investment to making more money. Finding A GREAT Article Marketing Tool is not so easy, but once you do it can be a lot of fun.

There is one thing that always strikes out the first layer of people attempting to become a 'Paid Writer,' EXPERIENCE. Everyone always wonders how you get experience if people will only give jobs to those who have experience. It is a very common, popular conundrum.

The next one is to demonstrate our quality of work and our responsibility that is tied to that work. I always think of this as responsibility and reliability. People want what is basically wanted from any other job market only you have to be hard on yourself, developing your own good work ethics.
The third consideration is probably the biggest and most discouraging of the three. Marketing yourself. Yes, all freelance writers do it. To a very large degree this can mean the difference between success and failure. This is also why it is so important that you put your best foot forward. Today what with the internet it is becoming easier than ever to market yourself.

Article Directories: Which Ones Work Best?
I guess you can tell what my absolute favorite directory is. Seriously though the best directories question is really not a one size fits all kind of answer. In my opinion it really depends on what your goal is. If you are just looking for Marketing purposes then I would guess you would want the directory with the highest page rank.
There are many directories which I absolutely love that have very low page rank. However I am not going to name names here. At least not in this paragraph. There are places you can go that will give you the article directories and their page rank all in a pretty little graph or chart. Then there is software you can buy that will display the page rank at the top of your screen as you pull up the site.
The funny thing is I love Ezine@rticles for the exact same reason everyone else dislikes them. They have a devotion to quality written articles and will not approve of your articles so easily. The fact that they are picky helps me to ensure that the writing I am putting out there is of good quality. Almost acting as an editor or manager of a sorts.
Hey, free proofreading & editing is great. You can bet that if you were to check out some service of some kind it would not be cheap. Plus, knowing that they are not going to really say anything out right gives me cause to overlook and observe my work a little closer. They will almost never give you any outright advice on any one article it simply states whether or not it is approved or not.
Ezine@rticle.com is my favorite for writing articles. I really love SearchWarp.com for artistic writing, things like poetry, pros and getting reviews or helpful criticism from other writers. There are a really huge amount of article directories on the web and unless you try them out it can be difficult to know which ones will be right for your literary project.
As far as, for article Marketing and Making money from your writing through sales; I would simply go through as many of them as I can. Starting with the most powerful in page rank and then just going down the line. Without an article submitter is this tedious? Yes. Is it worth it, absolutely. When I didn't have an article submitter it would take me all day just to get 3 articles done. HA!
You cannot imagine how happy I was when I got my hands on an automated tool that did this work for me. I quickly moved up to ten articles a session instead of the three and still had time to do a little extra research for my next days keywords.
Article directories are a funny thing once you get used to dealing with a lot of them. They can get more and more unpredictable the more you think you know them the more surprised you can get. There are always hidden agenda's and sometimes the way the writers flock to them can make the directories grow & gravitate towards one sympathy or another.
Depending on your experience and the type of business you are intending to grow will mean a lot. If you ask me, whatever article directory you choose its ultimately the writing that makes the difference. The best writing at the worst directory can still get picked up. Needless to say the reverse is true as well. Yet not near as likely as the best directory will not accept the worst writing.

One very important thing to know about article marketing is how much writing is necessary. I am guessing that by the title you might already have an Idea. Yes there is an immense amount of writing involved with article marketing. More than anyone might expect in fact. One thing is worth mentioning here, you must at least enjoy writing a little or you are in for the nightmare of your life.
For instance I just wrote an article that was 587 words long. I was on a role and was really having fun. Sometimes good work just flows out like a spring that just bursted. All the information was good, everything was in good order and I even impressed myself a little with some of the wording and insights that just came out. Funny thing happened though, I hit the wrong key and deleted all of it.
Just like that it was gone. I have been writing long enough to know better than to try and rewrite it. I do not know why the auto save didn't catch it as is usually the case.
Oh well, I will attempt to hit the highlights here. In the beginning I wrote a horrible little joke about how you have to have a lot of patience. Then I wrote you can't be a doctor without any patients. Sorry i couldn't resist even twice over.
Thing is its so true about Article Marketing and really writing in general. It is very hard work and there is sometimes very little or no reward in the beginning. However, with devotion, determination and perseverance you can make it happen.
The main thing you need is a plan, yes a solid plan of action. One that works.
Well, in the article I lost it was a lot more clever leading into it, but yeah, a plan of action is a MUST! Without it I am sorry to say that you are doomed to fail. What is a plan of action? A good plan would be a system that allows you to produce the most amount of articles in the least amount of time.
How long should be long enough to figure out if your plan of action is working or not? Excellent question and one of some debate. I have heard that if after 30 articles and nothing; then change up your system. Yet, I cannot swear on any fast rule due to so many intangible factors. The writing, the market, the trends, the competition, the quality of the product, the internet, so many factors.
I believe that 30 articles is a good beginning, but there is so much more to it. Whatever it takes find, buy, create, develop, make up, burrow but need is the operative word here. If you are to succeed you will need a plan. One that works well and that you can work well with.
Article Marketing is uber competitive and you will need any edge you can get.
One more thing is its extremely time consuming. Other freelancers and writers can outsource some of their work freeing them up to produce more. The more productive you can be the more possibilities of success and the less the chances of failure. So find a good tool to help you save time and it will drastically improve your writing business.
