There is one thing that always strikes out the first layer of people attempting to become a 'Paid Writer,' EXPERIENCE. Everyone always wonders how you get experience if people will only give jobs to those who have experience. It is a very common, popular conundrum.
The number one thing you must do is take on any writing job that presents itself, whether it pays or not. That usually marks off that first layer of competition that was not too serious about becoming a freelance writer. If you want to become a paid writer eventually you will have to work for free.
Not every freelancer out there has done this. There are always exceptions but most have worked for free in the beginning. This is a major consideration for anyone with the desire to write for a living. Not only do you have to work for free but that work you do must be done to the best of your ability. The next one is to demonstrate our quality of work and our responsibility that is tied to that work. I always think of this as responsibility and reliability. People want what is basically wanted from any other job market only you have to be hard on yourself, developing your own good work ethics.
The third consideration is probably the biggest and most discouraging of the three. Marketing yourself. Yes, all freelance writers do it. To a very large degree this can mean the difference between success and failure. This is also why it is so important that you put your best foot forward. Today what with the internet it is becoming easier than ever to market yourself.

Article Directories: Which Ones Work Best?
I guess you can tell what my absolute favorite directory is. Seriously though the best directories question is really not a one size fits all kind of answer. In my opinion it really depends on what your goal is. If you are just looking for Marketing purposes then I would guess you would want the directory with the highest page rank.
There are many directories which I absolutely love that have very low page rank. However I am not going to name names here. At least not in this paragraph. There are places you can go that will give you the article directories and their page rank all in a pretty little graph or chart. Then there is software you can buy that will display the page rank at the top of your screen as you pull up the site.
The funny thing is I love Ezine@rticles for the exact same reason everyone else dislikes them. They have a devotion to quality written articles and will not approve of your articles so easily. The fact that they are picky helps me to ensure that the writing I am putting out there is of good quality. Almost acting as an editor or manager of a sorts.
Hey, free proofreading & editing is great. You can bet that if you were to check out some service of some kind it would not be cheap. Plus, knowing that they are not going to really say anything out right gives me cause to overlook and observe my work a little closer. They will almost never give you any outright advice on any one article it simply states whether or not it is approved or not.
Ezine@rticle.com is my favorite for writing articles. I really love SearchWarp.com for artistic writing, things like poetry, pros and getting reviews or helpful criticism from other writers. There are a really huge amount of article directories on the web and unless you try them out it can be difficult to know which ones will be right for your literary project.
As far as, for article Marketing and Making money from your writing through sales; I would simply go through as many of them as I can. Starting with the most powerful in page rank and then just going down the line. Without an article submitter is this tedious? Yes. Is it worth it, absolutely. When I didn't have an article submitter it would take me all day just to get 3 articles done. HA!
You cannot imagine how happy I was when I got my hands on an automated tool that did this work for me. I quickly moved up to ten articles a session instead of the three and still had time to do a little extra research for my next days keywords.
Article directories are a funny thing once you get used to dealing with a lot of them. They can get more and more unpredictable the more you think you know them the more surprised you can get. There are always hidden agenda's and sometimes the way the writers flock to them can make the directories grow & gravitate towards one sympathy or another.
Depending on your experience and the type of business you are intending to grow will mean a lot. If you ask me, whatever article directory you choose its ultimately the writing that makes the difference. The best writing at the worst directory can still get picked up. Needless to say the reverse is true as well. Yet not near as likely as the best directory will not accept the worst writing.

Article Marketing Without Tears - Too much is the New Enough
One very important thing to know about article marketing is how much writing is necessary. I am guessing that by the title you might already have an Idea. Yes there is an immense amount of writing involved with article marketing. More than anyone might expect in fact. One thing is worth mentioning here, you must at least enjoy writing a little or you are in for the nightmare of your life.
For instance I just wrote an article that was 587 words long. I was on a role and was really having fun. Sometimes good work just flows out like a spring that just bursted. All the information was good, everything was in good order and I even impressed myself a little with some of the wording and insights that just came out. Funny thing happened though, I hit the wrong key and deleted all of it.
Just like that it was gone. I have been writing long enough to know better than to try and rewrite it. I do not know why the auto save didn't catch it as is usually the case.
Oh well, I will attempt to hit the highlights here. In the beginning I wrote a horrible little joke about how you have to have a lot of patience. Then I wrote you can't be a doctor without any patients. Sorry i couldn't resist even twice over.
Thing is its so true about Article Marketing and really writing in general. It is very hard work and there is sometimes very little or no reward in the beginning. However, with devotion, determination and perseverance you can make it happen.
The main thing you need is a plan, yes a solid plan of action. One that works.
Well, in the article I lost it was a lot more clever leading into it, but yeah, a plan of action is a MUST! Without it I am sorry to say that you are doomed to fail. What is a plan of action? A good plan would be a system that allows you to produce the most amount of articles in the least amount of time.
How long should be long enough to figure out if your plan of action is working or not? Excellent question and one of some debate. I have heard that if after 30 articles and nothing; then change up your system. Yet, I cannot swear on any fast rule due to so many intangible factors. The writing, the market, the trends, the competition, the quality of the product, the internet, so many factors.
I believe that 30 articles is a good beginning, but there is so much more to it. Whatever it takes find, buy, create, develop, make up, burrow but need is the operative word here. If you are to succeed you will need a plan. One that works well and that you can work well with.
Article Marketing is uber competitive and you will need any edge you can get.
One more thing is its extremely time consuming. Other freelancers and writers can outsource some of their work freeing them up to produce more. The more productive you can be the more possibilities of success and the less the chances of failure. So find a good tool to help you save time and it will drastically improve your writing business.
When I first started writing articles I had no idea what I was in for. Luckily I found an expert Article Marketing Guide that save me from some of the headaches I was about to face. It really did cut the learning curve in half and saved me time and money.

Writing is my dream, my passion, my love, & now its my job too;O)

Writing is my dream, my passion, my love, & now its my job too;O)
I am writing this because I really believe in these resources and I KNOW how tough it is out there for beginning writers of all ages. If you can begin to generate an income from your writing, this will inspire, and motivate you to do more writing.
It might not be the type of writing you want to do or what you dreamed yourself to be writing but it can provide nothing but a further development of your craft as well as serious improvement on the quality and quantity of your writing skills. Thus gaining an income will provide you with experience and time to WRITE WHAT YOU WANT TO WRITE.
You will in no way be wasting your time IF, you are serious about writing. The craft of article writing is specific and particular. It has its own set of do's and dont's as well as general rules and specific guidelines to follow. It will make you a much better writer by teaching these things and how to generate some revenue as well.
The more likely you are to start earning from your passion the more likely you are to have a happy successful career & life. This also reduces the likeliness of falling into those vices that many writers fall into.
Those negative habits can swallow up some very talented people. No matter how smart or talented, makes no difference its always a possibility. If you cannot earn a living as a writer there are many unhappy alternatives. Conditions that limit your creativity but pay the bills temporarily can quickly grow into a very ugly, permanent statistic.
Unfortunately for many writers, as a general rule, society has stigmatized and associated them with falling into substance abuse, alcoholism, impoverishment, and other eccentric pitfalls of life. While this is only true of a small percent of writers it is true of 93% of unsuccessful writers. The earlier on in life that you begin earning from your passion, the better your chances of not falling prey to these unfortunate conditions.
Experience is only gained through one key element...
Action! Taking action is very important. Action brings you DIRECT EXPERIENCE, and there is simply no substitute for DIRECT EXPERIENCE when it come to understanding and learning any subject.
Its like this, If you had to have an operation on your heart, a live or die surgery; would you rather have someone who has studied the procedure and knows it inside & out through reading about it, but has never actually done the operation before? Or, someone who is say average in school, in the study of it, but has actually done a number of these surgeries for the past few years?
To gain experience is the most critical stage of the learning of any subject.
This is a little off the beaten path here as far as convention is concerned. I don't know why though. When I looked for things that could help me with improving my writing and generating an income from writing online, I didn't come across The 4 day money making Blueprint Or His P.A.W.S Persuasive Article Writing Secrets any where.
Neither did I find any thing at all from PotPieGirl and her One Week Marketing Plan, I know they are categorized under the make money online market but they are excellently crafted for writing and have so much to offer any writer. I could only find them in the make money arena and that is a shame because its flooded with Garbage, making it hard to find the good from the bad.
But the things that I have found are targeted/marketed to writers aren't as effective as this was, at least for me and others who aren't even writers. The video's show you exactly how to do what is written in the story. It is also written in an excellent format that's both entertaining and educational very clear and easy to understand.
The course is fun, plain and simple.
I honestly believe, than any and all aspiring writers could benefit greatly with this program otherwise, I wouldn't be devoting my time to it. There are other programs out there I know of that have some success. But these two are the newest and best at getting results and excellent feedback. All the info is up to date, accurate and precise.
So check em' out and you CAN achieve your dream
